Is it possible in the Newspaper theme to display search results alternatively on a page other than the default search results page (/?s=searchword)? Is it possible to display search results on a page with a URL like /page/?s=searchword ?`
All the existing solutions either redirect to the default search results page or return a 404 error. The same result occurs with any plugin that is supposed to display search results on a page using a shortcode.

Hello,
If the plugin provided a shortcode you can set it in the column text, in the text area. Unfortunately, for this, you need to use a plugin for redirect or a custom implementation there.
