Alternative analytics for AMP – Matomo

Hi,
I have a problem with Newspaper AMP (using a Tagdiv Theme).
I’ve added a proper google analytic code for AMP and it is working fine.
But I’ve also would like to analyze traffic using different solution (Matomo/Piwik).
The problem is, that I have no idea how to embed trafic code (pixel) to AMP pages.

This is how the code should look like (I’ve removed page name that it will not interfere with my analytics)

Copying it into GA window broke GA code.
I’ve copied it into header advert place, but it’s not seen by my Matomo Analytics.

Is there any other editor, where this can be added and will be visible to my privet analytics?

Hello StefanGebala,

Unfortunately, the theme has not been tested with Matomo Analytics. We recommend only using the Google Analytics code for tracking of your site, sorry!

Unfortunately, we cannot provide support for this tracking code (plugin) because it has not been tested with our theme.
