I was playing with AMP what you have provided. Your AMP plugin not automatically redirect the user to /amp page. We have to add /amp in last of the page to access that. Then I tried the ampforwp this plugin (https://ampforwp.com). It gives auto redirect when I go from my phone so I don’t have to write amp in last of the URL.
There should be this feature I guess, it will easy to manage things. AMP version of Newspaper theme is better check it out https://ampforwp.com/themes/newspaper/
JUST A SUGGESTION 🙂
You have to add /amp to access it on desktop. Once indexed by Google the AMP pages will be served to users from the Google cache.
Our plugin does not redirect desktop users to AMP version of the pages, at the moment. It might in the future if this is an useful feature.
