Hi,
After installing the amp plugin, (everything looked ok according to wordpress info while installing), I have no AMP tab to the left side of the wordpress admin, so no access to the settings page..
Also, I have no AMP option (enable/disable) on pages !
The mobile theme seems properly installed as far as I can see on my mobile.
Any idea about what happening ?
thanks
David

Hi,

If one of these 2 settings is selected, AMP should appear in the dashboard
http://prntscr.com/nrv2yj
Also there will be options to enable/disable AMP per post – http://prntscr.com/nrva2v
Please check if one of those settings is enabled.

Thanks

Thanks for your reply !
Mobile + AMP in theme is set !
But in post or page I don’t have the toggle button. (enable amp).

The strange thing is I don’t have neither the amp tab in the admin. I think amp plugin is not properly installed even if wordpress said it was right.
Thanks

Hi,

Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate all non theme plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, please deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Please make sure that after you make the changes in theme panel -> https://www.screencast.com/t/VZB5KyaUwdSm and you save the settings you clear all cache and force refresh the browser.

If the problem is still there, please delete( delete the theme, theme plugins too, do not override ) the current version of Newspaper that you have and download again the last version from themefores and reinstall it.

Thank you!

A lot of us are using child themes. Will it become child theme compatible?

That’s right, I switch to the standard theme and it’s fine.
The child theme was the culprit !

Hello,

Most of the theme files were moved into the tagdiv composer plugin as per the requirements of envato: https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000472383-WordPress-Theme-Requirements.
We wrote an article on the subject here: https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
Moving forward with such requirements, a child theme will only work with functions.php, and style.css as there are very few files left in the main theme as envato requires all functionality to be added through plugins.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for understanding.
