With AMP for WordPress 1.0 just around the corner (https://make.xwp.co/2018/11/05/amp-plugin-release-v1-0-rc2/) has the Newspaper theme been officially tested yet?

There will be more testing made by us in this matter. I believe our developer team is working on this alongside other projects. I can’t get into details however.
Thank you for the reply, Simion! I’ve taken a closer look at the Newspaper theme and noticed that it’s bundling an older, modified version of the official AMP plugin (0.6.2). We’re actually working with Google right now on the 1.0 release (mentioned above) and would love to see if we can help your developer team speed up bringing AMP compatibility to Newspaper. There’s no charge! We’d be happy to help for free. Newspaper is a popular, well loved theme and we want to make sure it has a great experience with AMP.

Thank you very much for your appreciation. Indeed, the AMP plugin hasn’t received many consistent updates in a while. There were other priorities, but we are working on it and there will be changes and improvements made in coming updates.
