I am exploring a theme called UpVote (ThemeForest) that allows site users to upvote stories like Reddit does. However I much prefer Newspaper, which I use on several other of my sites (e.g., BetterLifeHub.com) and am very familiar with. Is there any way to modify Newspaper or add a plugin with this upvote feature? Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, we do not have implemented this feature in our theme and there is not a known tested plugin with our theme at the moment. You will have to test and see what plugin will fit.

Your Filter offers options such as Popular (all time), Popular (Jetpack + stats), and Highest Rated (reviews). How can I invite my readers to rate articles using these options? Thanks again.
Hi blawrimore, the readers do not have any options to do this.
The popular (all time) is base on the post view counts (that option must be enable and displayed on posts) with the Popular (Jetpack + stats) it is a similar option and the Highest Rated (reviews) is based on the reviews that are set on the posts when those are created (by the author of the post).
