Anything I need to know about patch_1.7_1.7.1 folder?

Hi,

I am getting very close to re-launching my site with the new theme and was wondering if there is anything I need to know or do with the patch_1.7_1.7.1 folder that came with the theme download.

It’s pretty much just a patch to move from v 1.7 to v 1.71.

If you’re doing a normal, more traditional upgrade, via FTP, you can ignore that. It’s there as optional upgrade method, not required.

So if I installed Newsmag through the WordPress dashboard the patch has been applied?

No, if you are running version 1.71 you don’t need to run a patch. You can see the “version” you’re running when you look at main screen of your theme admin panel. 🙂

If you’re running version 1.7 you can update to 1.71 following the theme docs on “how to upgrade” … simplest answer. See link to Documentation > Newsmag right side of page.
