Hi, my website uses Learndash as LMS and Newspaper 7 as theme.
Newspaper 7 looks great but I found a big issue with Learndash. The Learndash status images doesn’t show with Newspaper 7. If I change to the WordPress Twenty Seventeen theme they look good.
So, I need to be this fixed this, because otherwise I would require to move to Twenty Seventeen theme.
I’ve also verified that the problem is not about the child theme, it also happens with the original Newspaper 7.
Are Learndash and Newspaper 7 incompatible?
Hello,
Unfortunately we have not tested learndash and we have no idea of it;s implementation. The only tested and recommended plugins to use with our theme are these ones: https://www.screencast.com/t/Xcem4dDE
Not all plugins work with premium themes. If you pick a theme and absolutely have to use a certain plugin with it, it is best practice to ask for compatibility before the purchase
Thank you!
Hi, well I didn’t know that Learndash and Newspaper 7 doesn’t fit together.
Both (the plugin and the theme) are very widely used.
If you are interested I can put you in contact with the plugin author.
I think that you guys (both) should make it work, most probably is something easy and you both win.
Hi, Newspaper works great with LearnDash LMS.
This is just my opinion, but I don’t like Social Learner. When you build an LMS business you need to focus to keep it minimal.
When we are beginers, we add all to our LMS (Social Learner, BuddyPress, BBPress, Badges, etc.). There is a time when one discovers that all these unnecessary plugins are just slowing down our website!!). The more experience you get, the more minimalist you become. And your website starts again to work properly. Keep it Simple!
Said this, although Newspaper is not the most lightweight, it is well writen and works great with Learndash.
I hope this helps 🙂

Thanks for that aberniz. Would it be possible to see your site, I would like to have an idea of how this looks from a UX/UI standpoint (a screenshot). As well I’m thinking that I may setup my solution to use a single database for two sites, similar to “Run Multiple WordPress Sites With One User Database.
I’m using Docker with my local development environment to test this, so I’m thinking to keep Newspaper for the primary site (ex mysite.com) and the SocialLearner Theme for LearnDash as the training site (ex training.mysite.com)
