Is there a way to turn off the count next to the title of each article in the list below the three featured articles? Could not find in tech docs.

Hi,
That would be the comment count, this can be disabled but for all the blocks/modules at once in the theme panel

If you require something more precise (for example remove them only on that category page), let us know and we will give you a solution.
