I tried changing the display view of most of my categories but it doesn’t seem to change. They all still come out as the default display view. Is there something I should do asides going through the customizing categories area in themes panel? Kindly help. Thanks.

When you go back to the Theme Panel > Categories your settings are saved? Please empty cache if you use a cache plugin and also try to deactivate all plugins and leave just Visual Composer plugin active and check if you still have this issue. Hi,
I have checked your site and I did not find any category to have more then 5 posts. Please note that if you have Big Grid enabled on category page first 5 articles will be displayed there, so if you don’t have more then 5 articles the modules to that category the module that you selected to display them has nothing to show there: http://screencast.com/t/0fsOqHA3w9Ai
