I inserted the article in ad code in theme panel; however, I do not see any ad showing up on the post.
Also, in loop.php – after which line I can paste the in-feed ad code? Thanks.

Is you code correct ? You can test it by posting your ad code in a new post. If the post renders it that means it is correct.

If you are using standard pack templates from theme panel simply insert the ad in Theme Panel – Ads – Inline Ads.
