Hello forum members,
The article Like button (shows the highest count of article likes on single post) on posts does not work and will either display a sad face or will not increment the count when clicked, for some users.
The site is running Newspaper theme v9.6.1. I have tried disabling plugins, flushing cache but the issue persist.
Any help on this matter would be extremely much appreciated.

Hi,
The like button is deprecated. When someone is checking your posts and is not logged on to that browser with the Facebook account, then the button will no longer be displayed -> https://i.imgur.com/K8yHnaG.png, if you are logged then the button, should be there -> https://i.imgur.com/8Y5ZTf2.png
You can try to add the code provided from this guide in the Theme Panel -> Analictycs/ Js Codes -> head https://www.hostinger.com/tutorials/wordpress/how-to-add-facebook-like-button-to-wordpress
