Hi,
Sometimes when my site gets loaded on a mobile phone the menu, search icon turns into Chinese looking text.
How can this be fixed?
Site is:
https://smallcaps.com.au/
Thanks
The site when viewed on mobile also can take a very long time to load (20 seconds) sometimes as well.
This has only been happening recently. Around the same time as the Chinese text perhaps.
Here is a screenshot of the issue:
When this happens (viewed in Chrome on mobile) the site takes a very long time to load.
Hi,
I have inspected your website and everything seems to work as expected. I did not find any Chinese symbols at your menu, sorry! If your problem will reappear, please follow this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/
Thanks.
Clearly the issue exists and their is an issue with the theme as people have posted about it since 2016. I’ve used over 20 themes in the past and never seen this issue before.
I even sent you a screenshot to prove it.
I don’t understand the fix from the topic link you are recommending.
Can you please fix the theme so this error does not occur?
Hello WakeUpCallProject,
Please keep in mind that all the possible solutions to fix this error may be found in the topic mentioned above. As you know, the reason of this may be different one which differs from case to case. Notice that I have checked again your website on desktop and on some mobile devices and this error does not occur, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/9pXNCTXJ If you are using the CDN system, try to pure all CDN files and check the results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Why not just fix the theme in an update so it doesn’t happen?
Clearly the issue is over 12mths old and needs to be addressed.
The error doesn’t happen every time you load the site, only every now and then.
I have purged the CDN. However the issue has occurred for over a week and my cache clears at least once daily.
So what is exactly causing the issue?
Hello WakeUpCallProject,
Sorry for this inconvenient but please notice that we cannot recreate this error and also, I have checked your website for many times and I did not saw any problem with your site, sorry! Try using only the plugins which are tested with our theme because otherwise, if you will use any other untested plugins, the theme’s functionality could be damaged. Try to remove all of these and try using the theme to the default state, clear all the caches and check the results. Notice this wrong behaviour will not happen on our site, sorry!
Thanks for the message!
