Author Box Code & Post Template

Hi,

Is there an option to enter author box shortcode into the theme panel so they show up everytime I create a new post? I have two shortcodes from the PublishPress Authors plugin. I would like to add one, which is just the author’s picture and name at the beginning of the article and then add another that is the author’s full profile at the end of the article. This would save me from having to add the different shortcodes everytime I create a post. Thank you.

Hello @PIF21 !

There is an option in the theme panel settings for default templates: https://app.screencast.com/3IuASf69FzEnh
For cloud templates, you need to add the shortcode just once in the single cloud template you use for your articles. When you add an article, it should be assigned the global template you use (with all the customization).

Thank you!

For all of our posts we use a default template from the standard pack. Is there any way to add shortcode to a default global post template? The problem is that some of our articles have multiple authors. For some reason, Newspaper Theme’s default templates only allow one author per post. So we had to use a authors plugin that allows multiple authors with a shortcode. So everytime I create a post, I add in the Authors plugin shortcode at the beginning and at the end of the article. Can shortcodes be added to this default global post template?–I don’t see an option to add shortcode to default posts within the theme panel settings.

Or must I use a cloud template to add a global shortcode in each post? Thank you.

Hello @pif21 !

No. The default templates can’t be customized with the TagDiv Composer. I recommend you use a cloud template. You can find a similar template in the Cloud Library.

Thank you!
