Hello, we have a Editorial section on the website which shows the latest 3 editorials on the homepage via a block / flexblock. Is there a way to modify a block’s code to show the author’s image instead of the featured image? And, if not, how can we go about resolving this?
Thank you,
Andrei.
Hello Andrei!
Yes, by using a custom module template: https://forum.tagdiv.com/modules-builder-newspaper-theme/
Create a new custom module template from Cloud Templates -> Modules.
On the homepage, you should add this element and select your custom module created from this dropdown: https://app.screencast.com/HkE4twhMYIwel
Documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/modules-builder-newspaper-theme/
Thank you!
Hello, thank you for your response, everything worked out great except now I stumbled on another issue:
The setup is: Left author pic (ok) – Right-top Author name (problem), Right-bottom article title (ok).
When setting the author name in the custom module template, it shows a random author (no problem here) but on the frontend it shows all editorials as written by the admin account. In tag-div editor they are assigned ok, but not on the published page. Is there a fix for this?
Thank you,
Andrei.
Yes, that is the one I used, selected from the available modules in the template builder. Is there an actual [shortcode] I can use instead?
Hello Andrei!
No. I’ve tested and for me it worked. Make a test and deactivate all plugins except tagDiv ones. Also, if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache, and try again.
If the problem is still there, then please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the following:
– admin url and credentials
– a link to this topic in order to identify you
Thank you!
