I’ve set up the site at http://www.mystneots.com
As an admin I’ve obviously been able to create posts but I want to add other users to also add news.
I’ve created a user ‘Jason’ and set to Author. But when I log in with that user I do not have the wordpress menu bar or dashboard to allow me to add posts.
I’ve tried logging in as the user and then pasting in the add post url but it just bounces back to the home page.
Any ideas?
Check to see if you have a “user roles” plugin running which sets who can do what.
With some versions of Visual Composer I think they have a settings page also which can disallow authors/contributors from doing some things. Have not had to deal with that myself.

I could not recreate this, please make sure that you don’t have any plugins active which can cause this. Also empty cache and purge your files if you use CDN.
