I noticed that when I click on any author’s name, does not redirect to the list with all the relevant posts from this author. Instead of that redirects me to the home page.
Any thoughts?

Please provide your website so I can take a closer look at it. Try to make a clean install from scratch, via FTP and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins.

The site was in maintenance mode. Now is productive and it works fine.

You seem to have a redirect on the author links: https://www.screencast.com/t/Y3cuuQGW20
This does not come from the theme however. Please try it without plugins as it could be a plugin conflict if you did not set the redirect yourself.
