I think that you want to achieve something like on posts, unfortunately for the author templates there is no featured image as for posts, therefore you can not achieve the same, what you can do is to use an image for all these posts/page/ authors that do not have using Yoast SEO -> https://i.imgur.com/hcAKxTA.png
