Hello,

How can I set my image to appear next to my name at the bottom of the articles I post on my site pavlikeni.com? An example article is here: http://pavlikeni.com/happy-saint-patricks-day/ My name appears as Петър Милошев at the bottom left.

Thanks,
Peter

If your admin account email address is not setup on Gravatar.com, then you need to use a plugin to manage the user profile images. Simple Local Avatars is a free one from the plugin repository that works well for this.

Hi,

Thanks. While this plug-in ads my image to my profile in the admin area (but not the top right hand where it says “Howdy,….”, my image does not appear by my name under my posts.

Please advise.

Thanks,
Peter

Not sure bud, maybe clear the cache?

That plugin works on NewsMag and WP 4.1.1 with default settings everywhere. Very simple plug-n-play functionality. If you’ve changed the theme so that it does call get_avatar() – or another plugin is changing that, then it won’t work without using the more advanced install.

My guess is either the cache or another plugin that works with the avatar conflicting.

Thanks,

Do you mind letting me know how to clear the cache?

Thanks,
Peter

If you have to ask then you probably aren’t using one.

i don’t know, I am not well versed in WP. I updated to WP 4.1.1, but still nothing. Where in the settings is the option to clear the cache? Thanks.

Like I said, if you have to ask…

First, there are too many different caching plugins for me to start listing how each work, plus the ones I don’t know how to use. Second, caching is a plugin, not a core WP feature. I’d like to help but the question is entirely too vague.
