The theme developers usually say it is difficult to implement that feature due to the complex nature of the theme. But let’s see if that will be possible in future. Definitely, a feature that Newspaper theme could benefit from.

I looked at all the plugins working on the site. I think they are integrated into the theme not with plugin.

Indeed it does not appear to be a plugin on that site. It seems to be a custom implementation. Due to many high requests in this regard, we are looking into solutions to this issue. I cannot promise anything at the moment but we are searching for proper implementation for this.
