Hello,
I’m asking if there is an option in the theme to automatically stretch the image to fit into the squares on home page layout?
I know that “Regenerate Thumbnails” plugin can bulk resize all thumbnail images, however it is not convenient to regenerate the thumbnail after posting every post (because the featured image usually doesn’t fit in there)
I also don’t know what is the recommended image size for it to show correctly on homepage!
Here’s a screenshot of what i mean:

I appreciate your help
Hello AndrewAAE,
As you can see, our theme uses the thumbnails for all images and cut them, after a certain size. Our thumbs sizes could be found here -> http://screencast.com/t/fwh2unf9GQtd depending on what block is used.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello Catalin,
Thanks for your reply. Ok, i can see the thumbnail sizes in the theme options, But i still didn’t get it.
1) For example, i can see the thumb size (100×70) is used for: Module 6,7 and Block 1, 2, 7, 8, 16
– What does module 6, 7 refers to? Is it in the prebuilt demos?
2) On my home page, i’m using one of the pre-built demos.. and in the visual composer editor, i can see “Big Grid 7”, as shown here: https://s31.postimg.org/uldmsstwr/Visual_composer.jpg
– Does the Block 7 in the theme options refers to the Big Grid 7 in Visual composer?!
3) The image i’ve uploaded earlier as a featured image was 504 × 544 (which is a large image, however it wasn’t showing right as shown here): https://s32.postimg.org/bdub5yp79/image_resize.jpg
So, my other question is: What is the recommended image size for featured images to show correctly on homepage? without having the need to regenerate thumbnails?
Thanks for your help & patience
Hello AndrewAAE,
Also, please notice that each block uses a specific thumb which crops the each featured image from your posts.
Please take a look over the below explanation and try to understand a bit how it works the thumbs in the theme. Please check here ->>
Our theme uses the system of cropping from center to top. The theme uses thumbs to reduce the page size and speed up page loading time. From each image uploaded are generated thumbs for each thumb size used by the theme. Basically, when a post it’s displayed on the page in a block, the featured image displayed is not the one which you uploaded in the media file, it’s a thumb cropped from the original image at the precise dimension. To change the picture orientation most likely you will need a different cropping system. We use a WordPress function – add_image_size() – you can read about it here – https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/add_image_size – and here – http://www.davidtan.org/wordpress-hard-crop-vs-soft-crop-difference-comparison-example/
Our theme crop (cut) thumbnails in some cases to avoid creating a lot of thumbnails in order to reduce to load more spaces on the server.
If you don’t have the possibility to upload large images you could use a combination of plugins to upscale the thumbs – Thumbnail Upscale and Force Regenerate. For more information about these kinds of plugins, please consult their documentation here -> https://wordpress.org/plugins/thumbnail-upscale/ -> https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/ Also, please ensure that the functionalities of these plugins are not affected by the other untested plugins that could create interference through the theme. Please notice that these types of plugins are not tested with our theme and we cannot provide support for the theme. We recommend them because a lot of our customer uses and they were satisfied to their functionality.
A basic example you should see here -> http://screencast.com/t/rhIdwe22d2

Hello! I have the following problem, my images are not the right size in blocks, although miniatures all available. More details in the screenshots.
2. I have 25,000 images had to generate thumbnails for all – this is a very long and very heavy server. It may do so to use only the first image in the post? In their subjects, I used data https://ru.wordpress.org/plugins/kama-thumbnail/ or similar plug. Very convenient takes the first image from the post and generates necessary – so there is no need to generate a large number of unnecessary images.

Hi
Our theme generate 17 thumbs for each image uploaded in media gallery. Considering the high number of images from your site regenerating thumbnails will be a very long an heavy process. However the theme must have a proper thumb for each module in order to display the image properly.
A possible way to solve this would be to use fewer modules on your site, like this the theme won’t need 17 thumbs, will need only 2-3, depending by how many modules you’re using. Please check this link where I’ve pointed and example configuration which will use only a few modules: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-manage-growing-image-library-and-file-size-on-disk/
Thanks!

Hello Jenkis-80,
As I can see when looking to your images, I guess that you do not use the thumbnails for your photos, right? Please notice that if you are using our Blocks for displaying your posts, you will have to check your Theme Panel to be activated all the thumbs which are used by these Blocks, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/VZEf0KPL and then you will have to use the Thumbnail Regenerate for good results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
