Hello,
Using your template, how can we ensure the page doesn’t get refresh when browsing through the website/menus/pages/articles so that the playback we have on homepage (radio station on shoutcast) remains active and playing without interruption?

Hello,
Unfortunately this is not possible as when you navigate you will not be able to keep the page open all the time. This is the default wordpress implementation, not the theme. You cannot be on the homepage and on a post or category at the same time in the same browser window that it.
Maybe you can find a plugin that can provide such functionality but I do not know of one to recommend. Sorry
