I’m trying to fit a background image to the background but it seems to zoom right in on the image once the image is uploaded
Is there an optimal size for the background image?
How can I stop it cropping right in on the image soI don’t end up with a grainy mess
Many thanks
D
Hi,
Unfortunately, there’s no ideal size, if you want to display something to the left and right of the content area like for example – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag_fashion/td-post-taylor-swifts-stylish-separates-in-germany-shop-them-here/ you have to take in account the content area width – http://screencast.com/t/gUzSJbQW9I and create a background image based on that – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag_fashion/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/fashion-bg.jpg and use it like this: http://screencast.com/t/ZbPvjtikphb
For best graphic results you could use a full hd image (1920x1080px), make sure you compress it, you don’t want a large file, it will slow page loading speed.
Hope this helps!
Thanks
Hmm, I tried a full HD image but it just zooms in real close and you can barely make out what you are looking at
When I upload the image and don’t have it to stretch I just get an image roughly 300×200 px in the top of the header and the rest of the area in blank
Many thanks

Hi,
I’m not sure what you mean, I have myself tested the image pointed in my first reply here and had these results:
* http://screencast.com/t/hHWw9kWS6zI – http://screencast.com/t/ZJdWBuOk48i
* http://screencast.com/t/xVA05Y9F – http://screencast.com/t/EwBXzyBNgraS
Try this bg image yourself and let me no if you have the same result.

Please let me know!

Hi Lucian,
just tried your image
http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag_fashion/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/fashion-bg.jpg
And it fits perfectly, I’ll resize mine the same as above.
Thanks for all your help
