Backlash and Apostrophe shows up at footer

How do i remove the backslash after a Apostrophe.

Replace in footer.php file the indicated line of code with this one: http://screencast.com/t/rd9K7l12K

$tds_footer_copyright = stripslashes(td_util::get_option('tds_footer_copyright'));
