Best strategy updating from 4.5d to 4.6.2

Hi all!

I saw tutorial how to upgrade theme…

but… what is best strategy to upgrade from 4.5d to 4.6.2?

Replace entire directory? How can I save some css modifications to custom.css?

Hi,

If you haven’t made any modifications to theme files then you can use the FTP method from the video to updated your theme as the css from the custom css filed or theme settings will not be affected and it will style apply.
If you update the theme from one version to another them you can also use the patch provide within theme files, the patch contains just the modified files and can be used only if you update the theme from one version to another.
In your case you can use the patch as only update to version 4.6.2 contains modified files.
For each case I suggest you do a backup of your current theme installation as in case something goes wrong you can revert back to it.
