I have quite a bit of white space in between the header logo + newsletter sign-up and the menu.
What is the best way to the reduce the space in between the two sections?
The logo is fixed size but the newsletter sign-up is generated from an external javascript.

I put in a -40 for the columns text CSS. That brought things down since I guess this part was overflowing a bit.
row->column->inner-row->inner-column: Column text
