Hello,
Just a quick general question. My website gets quite heavy traffic to it but majority of the comments are spam. I currently have nearly 650,000 spam comments that I want to remove but it is taking a lifetime to do it in the backend of wordpress.
Are there any good plugins for this and how do others combat spam in their own websites? Any feedback would be much obliged.

Akismet if you use WordPress comments, or just using Disqus comments will stop spam as well.

Thanks for the feedback everyone will reinstall akismet to the website and see how it goes.
