As the title says, the layout doesn’t fit in the container.
From the page source, I can see that I have a column inner that’s causing the issue. On other newspaper themed sites, I cannot even see the column inner? I’m trying to stretch the grid so the width is the same as the latest articles & sidebar.
Going by documentation the Grid is supposed to have a Row Stretch setting like this screenshot – https://www.screencast.com/t/mfEWrD0D
I don’t seem to have that option?
Hello Valen,
Provide your website so I will be able to provide a more accurate response. Ensure that your Big Grid full was applied on a full stretch row and then, if the problem is still there, give me your website for further investigations.
Thanks for the message!
Hi Catalln,
If I use any grid that includes more than a single item they won’t fit and drop down unless I clear the margin/paddings which I don’t want to mess with.
The problem I’m having is the “column-inner”. I Can’t see that on another website with newspaper theme installed?
Also putting the row into stretch puts the width the entire page but I only want it to line up with the latest article/sidebar column.
Cheers
Hello Valen,
I have checked on my side and the Slide seems to fit perfectly in the below container, as you can see here-> https://www.screencast.com/t/2vIOXz8atg Try to remove all the Stretch Row settings, clear all your caches and check the results. If you are using some untested plugin which can affect this functionality, try to disable all fo them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Thanks for the fast replies.
I’ve fixed parts of it, the articles now fit correctly. But the div wrapping the grid is still smaller than the rest of the columns. Setting the padding/margins to 0 doesn’t affect the div also.
Hi,
I do not understand exactly what you are trying to achieve. By default a Big Grid added on a page, displays like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/WNjwo9Py and it fits perfectly with the rest of the elements on the page, in the page container. There is no need to add custom padding and margins to make this happen
– https://www.screencast.com/t/5VpC86XVZy
The Big grid will be aligned properly with the rest of the content with the default values

Try and remove any of these custom values set in the row settings, or through a custom class set on the block and it will display as you want.
Thanks
