Hi, I’m using Big Grid 6 to display featured articles on the site. it is very important for us to have control which articled goes after another.
Changing the date kinda des the trick, but it is no a solution since, it goes to latest posts, please see the screenshot.
Please let us know how can we control the order of the articles in this block wihtout posts getting into latest posts section.
Thanks a lot.
Hello,
There are multiple settings you can add to your blocks to prevent duplication and have better control over the posts shown. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Thank you!
Sorry, for the late reply, I was on vacation.
Ok, let me see if I got it right.
The way I can hardcode only specific posts to appear in the slider is by:
1. Filtering dor specific category and then
2. Providing specidic posts IDs
as shown below
but the question kinda remains…. after I did ll the filtering, how can I make sure in which order they appear in the slider? Changing the order or post IDs doesn’t help.
Please see the screenshot below – how can move Foodamo Portal post to be the first?
Thank you!
Elijah
Hello,
The order in which the filtered posts show up in the slide is added by the post sort order in the block settings: https://www.screencast.com/t/auWjEw03dhA
Thank you!
We will have unfrtunately to revisit it.
Doesn’t matter what I specify here
Nothing chages on the actual page. Latest, Aplphabetical, etc – has no effect whatsoever on the post display order.
As mentioned int he previous post – all items int he forum seem to be public, how can I get you the credentials to log in?
Thank you.
Elijah.
OK, I’v figured it out. It seems that this plugin causes the issue – https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/post-types-order/
It i really cool plugin, that I use on every client installation, really great one with great reviews. It is really pity it is not compatible with your theme.
I agree with @natagrit
Maybe, you can add this functionality in the next update.
Just a menu in the WordPress Admin called Slider Order or something like that, you enter there and it lists all the slider modules and in what page you are using it.
Then enter there and select the content you want to show.
My client just need to admin sliders in an easy way to show some news statically in the slider.
Give them the Theme Panel Admnistration is not a very good idea, they can easily break the site!
This is just a suggestion, hope you can add this functionality soon!
Regards!
Mauricio.
