Bloated / Worthless HTML on Page

Hi there!

I’m trying to trace the source of some 1200 lines of HTML being added to my webpage within the script tags below:

Bloated HTML

I’m sure it has some purpose but don’t see why its included on every page of a site; if I take HTML from within a script tag I’ll find WordPress /wp-admin/ tools, e.g. tmpl-uploader-window contains the Media Uploaders ‘drop files to upload’ square.

I’ve been pointed towards this being added by the theme; any ideas if this true / something familiar to your team?

I’m not in a position to turn the theme off to check as our dev environment is offline and the site has very few quiet moments!

Thanks for your help!

Matt

Hello,

Well if you cannot switch to a wop default theme, the next best thing is to check our official demo at http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
Check the page source and you will see there are no such script tags in our theme. This is not familiar to our theme so i cannot say for sure where they come from .it could be a plugin adding them
I have found something similar with this plugin: (avatar manager )
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/huge-amount-of-garbage-code-on-every-page-for-logged-in-users/
Maybe it is something similar on your end.

Thank you!

Hey Bogdan,

Thanks! Great call, I should of checked the demo!

Yeah that page was the only thing that came back when I searched, and we don’t use that particular plugin, but I my next step will be to switch the plugins off one at a time to see if there’s any effect.

Thanks again

Matt
