Hi, can anyone help me out… the theme is fantastic but there are some minor errors with Block 14. I cannot see the titles as they are appearing above the thumbnail rather than on top of. I am pretty good with CSS but I cannot seem to locate where the problem lies. Help please.

Hi,
We have tested block 14 and could not find the error.

Please provide a link to your block 14 so we can inspect it.
Thank you!

Sorry for the delay in my response. I really appreciate your willingness to help. I would love to but the site is in development. We’re not launching yet. Here is a login for you to use and a link to the page:

block 14 is on the home page under the slider: http://www.techdocent.com

the login is here so you can view the website: http://www.techdocent.com/wp-admin

If you inspect the code, you will find the titles are above the row and behind the slider. I tried using CSS to fix. I am fairly decent and proficient using CSS but I couldn’t figure it out due to too many cascades.

You might know exactly why the issue. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Kindest Regards,
Jason

Hi,

The title gets moved from the slider you added on the top of the block. Please add a simple block 14 on another page in it;s default state without the slider and see if the issue is still there. I suspect the slider is incorrectly implemented.

Thank you!

Thanks for the reply, Bogdan B.

Issue still exists even if I put on another blank page. Shouldn’t the style supersede the importance of other classes/IDs on the page by using completely unique css styles and nomenclature?

Don’t worry about the username and password. I have already changed and the site is backed up and not using any sensitive data at this time.

Kindest Regards,
Jason

I cannot edit my post above so sorry for the double post…

OK. I found part of the solution but my claim still stands… Now, if I put block 14 on a 1 column layout it is fine. However, the block grid seems to be getting messed up if I use a 2-column layout. Currently, I am using 1/4 + 3/4 layout. It does not seem to matter how I divide it up. The block only looks correct on 100% layout and that will not work nor does it seem right. Something is definitely wrong with the default code. Try it out…

Jason

Hi,
Please only use the columns explained here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/ Our theme is not compatible with all columns of visual composer.
Thank you!

Just so you know, that is the only module that does a 3 column carousel. It would be wise to fix so that it fits into your theme properly.

Hi,
Please check out are demo to see how the block should display properly on a 2/3 or a 1/3 layout: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-14/http://screencast.com/t/N16hqlpq
Thank you!
