I am using Block 15 full width on the homepage and have two rows of 5 thumbnails. I want to be able to control the height in pixels of the thumbnail in block 15. The reason for this is that the featured images are actually magazine front covers but I can not get it to display the full height of the cover.
Can you help?

Do you want to change the thumb size and the cropping mode? You will have to add a new thumb size in td_config.php file – http://screencast.com/t/2HGRTOMU9boA and use the that size in module mx4(which is used to create block 15) – http://screencast.com/t/gICu0V2fPg Then you have to regenerate your thumbnails – https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-the-theme-with-existing-content/ Also make a backup of your current files so you can revert if something goes wrong.
Please note that there’s no ideal image size, the modules have thumbs with different aspect ratios and a part of the image may get lost on the cropping process. Images used on modules are cropped to fit the thumb size and depending by image aspect ratio the result can be different. The theme use center-top cropping system, but if you want you can modify it if you want, here you can find more details about cropping – http://www.davidtan.org/wordpress-hard-crop-vs-soft-crop-difference-comparison-example/ You have to do some tests and see what aspect ratio to use, depending what blocks/modules you use most as like I said there isn’t an ideal image size so it can look good on all thumbs.
