I am making special site for books only, but it is difficult to make nice design because there are not a block suitable for purpose.
I use block 24, but it don’t quite do the job.
Is it possible to make just one block for widget like block 24, where there are excerpt also, but in a format like perhaps 260×400 – some compromise, as books mostly are in a shape like this.

Try to use the Flex Blocks which allows you to create your own style. Check here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ODOfoS0vBO where you will have some available options for that element. Also, if you do not like this one, you can try to create your own block via API implementation according to our useful guide from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/td_api_blockadd/ Also, please notice that guide is addressed only for advanced users and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to make in this case, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide support for API implementation and custom work, sorry!

Perhaps I did not make it all clear, that it was in widgets I needed the block. And you are right about Flex Blocks, and if you had used link to visit site, you would have seen that I am already doing that. But no Flex Blocks in widgets – or am I missing something?!
Don’t tell mi to use Flex Block in sidebar as solution.
But thank you for the guide to API implementation, I will perhaps look at that, if I get the time.

Unfortunately, please notice that our theme does not have this such a thumb as availability (260Ă—400px). The best solution, in this case, it would be to create a custom block, like block 24 but with your desired size for the thumbs. Try to use the API implementation for that and after you have created it, try to add it on the widget section. As a hint, you should follow the steps where block 24 has been made and replicate it for your custom block, changing the size for that.
