I am using Cars Blog demo.
I tried to change the block title background colour. It is not fully changing, got only partial colour change.

How can I get the desired colour for the whole block title background?
Issue 2
When using Smart Lists, images can’t be linked to an external link. It just shows the image in a light box. Please check here. http://amazingzoology.com/top-zoology-blogs-students-educators/
First three images a linked to external links and modal is ‘Off’. GENERAL MODAL IMAGE in Theme panel is also ‘Off’.
What may be the issue?

Issue 1: That is a weird behaviour. Someone will never expect that. If I wanted to change the whole colour of block title, how can I do that. And that is the case with other demos.

Issue 2: Again, this is also not expected from a reputed theme. I wanted to use other smart lists, not list 8. Image is showing a light box even when the modal is off, that is a bug! What if my requirement is to link to an external website?

Yes it is a bit different but that is demo specific. If you use other demos, you will not get this style. Each demo has it;s own style and implementation.
No, it is not a bug. We created the smart lists that way from the start. A bug is something that does not work as intended. The smart list functionality is intended but we realized people needed a list that does not use the lighbox and we created the new smart list 8 which does not use the lighbox. We have this request on our list though and in future releases we will consider implementing rules for where the lighbox applies and where it will not.
If you want to link a post list to an external link you can simply create a list inside your post using the tiny mce settings and link it to whatever you want.
You cannot use any other smart list with external links except for smart list 8.
