Hi,
I was wondering if you can randomly rotate posts in a block? For example in my first block (http://uhs.cd5.myftpupload.com/) I have picked 7 specific posts and I wondered if they could reorder themselves when the page is refreshed or someone clicks the HOME page again. Please let me know if this is possible and how.
Thanks,
Dave
Hi Dave,
Yes, please notice that each block can be sorted by RANDOM style from block settings. Check here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/LahEyuXed
Thanks for the message!
I know that you can randomly rotate posts in a block, but can you just have 7 Specific posts (their ID’s) I picked move positions when the page is refreshed? go to this URL (http://aggregatesandminingtoday.com/) and view the Featured products…now refresh the page and you will see that they move position randomly. Can this be done or is there a way to make this happen in a block?
Let me know
Thanks,
Dave
Hi,
You should make a new category where you should add your desired posts and then, this block has to be sorted by this category in a random way. It’s simple!
For your second request, the theme does not have any such an option for it. You need to check the theme’s core files where the header is called and with a condition, you can exclude the header ad. To check if you are on homepage, you should use the following rules from here -> https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/is_home/
Thanks for your understanding!
Oh sorry one last inquiry. Is it possible to show ALL an author’s posts on an author page, instead of being limited to 10 posts? (http://uhs.cd5.myftpupload.com/author/mclanahan-corporation/).
Thanks,
Dave
