I have checked the permissions (755) using FTP – but not the issue.

Hi,

I have checked your website and I saw that your featured images are working fine and also, are correctly rendered, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/xW67QYC8mp5d I saw that you have an old theme version and also, for better theme results, we recommend to update it to the latest version of it which is 4.8.

Thank you!

Hi Catalin

The only reason they are displaying now is because I had to disable a plugin ‘WP Bakery’

The only thing is when is disabled that plugin a load of page styling issue weren’t working for example; flip box effect, hover boxes, accordion styling.

Basically a load of styling effects that WK Bakery did that your own theme styling doesn’t.

What’s the workaround – do you have a solution please?

Best.

Hi,

If you used WPBakery to build the website, then you should keep it active at all times. If it is deactivated, elements like the ones you mention will not work and they will be displayed as code – http://prntscr.com/nldx30http://prntscr.com/nldxg1 They are specific to and provided by WPBakery, not the theme.

Having the WPBakery builder active should not cause the thumbnails to not be loaded. Usually plugins, or various codes entered in the theme panel or theme files can conflict with the theme and cause such issues. These would be the first to check in such cases.

Also be sure to check if there are enough resources – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/
Having such plugins as WPBakery and elementor, revolution slider etc active can consume many resources.

Thanks
