Blog page settings not working

Hi gang. The blog page on my site, https://localmarketinginstitute.com/blog/ is not using the actual settings from the TagDiv theme panel. Instead, it’s showing the entire text of all blog posts. Here’s a video that shows what’s going on. I appreciate any help in advance!

BTW, we do not believe this is a plugin conflict. We also tested this on a staging environment with other plugins turned off.

I had same problem. I solved it by removing static page for blog in wordpress setting > Reading > Posts page:

Hi nearview,

I just checked this and for me is working -> https://i.imgur.com/KYmNs1y.png -> https://i.imgur.com/g7T3g9e.png -> https://i.imgur.com/j7k9CjW.png -> https://i.imgur.com/HCz1CvF.png

Make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Let me know the results!
Thank you!

I was able to confirm that when using the Child theme provided with Newspaper theme, the blog settings do not work as indicated previously. We are currently using the latest version + child theme + standard pack plugin.

We need to use a child theme and do not wish to redo the entire site using the Parent Theme.

What is your solution for this?

Hi,

Please make a change in theme files, go in wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/index.php and replace the the is_child_theme() with !is_child_theme() -> https://i.imgur.com/omRbcPm.png -> https://i.imgur.com/CbaWqbU.png

Hope this will help you, let me know the results!
Thank you!

Calin,
At first glance this appears to be working as intended with your code change! Will this change be added into the core plugin in the next update? I just want to make sure this doesn’t get overwritten since it is in the parent plugin.

Thanks!

Hi,

As I know this problem should be fixed by now, so there should be no problems for the coming updates.

Have a nice day!

Actually, it does not appear to be fixed in the latest version. Can you confirm as I have clients running latest 10.3.4 version and it is not fixed.

Also, the code is already in place with || is_child_theme() and it is still not respecting theme panel settings.

Hi,

If there is still a problem after last version and the above fix is not working too, you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel. We will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Thank you!
