Since the change from another theme to TagDiv Newsmag the WP subscription service is no longer sending mail to the subscribers. Any clue why? This problem must be related to WordPress, i guess.

I am not aware what subscription service you’re using and I can’t say for sure why is not working. We did not tested any subscription plugin with our theme and we can’t make any recommendation in this regard. Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer and the one used fro subscription then test it again. Also you can try a different plugin. Some themes build-in functions to do that, just like a built-in contact form, etc., in lieu of plugins. If that function was part of old theme and NOT a plugin, you would need to replace the method used in old theme with a plugin to replicate that function. This is actually one example of where using a plugin *is* better than doing everything in the theme, as it is agnostic and can move from one setup to another without breaking.
I used to have a Studiopress News theme based on Studiopress Genesis framework but the subscription widget was the usual WordPress widget coming along a normal WP installation. When I now use the same widget – as always – the subscription is not working – even if a re-subscribe again now. Still the very same widget informs me the number of current subscribers. So they are all there but WP is creating no mails. This is strange.
My wordpress installs on 20 sites do not have a subscription widget by default.
But your host panel might include them.
Not part of theme, in any case.
You might need to add a smtp plugin if wordpress mail function not working on your host.
You might be thinking of widgets included with jetpack.

Yes, the subscriptions service that is no longer working in the TagDiv theme is the one included in “Jetpack by WordPress”.

Unfortunately, we cannot make any recommendation regarding on subscription plugin because our theme has not been tested with any plugin in this regard, sorry! Please keep in mind that the Jetpack plugin is too complex one which has a lot of modules and not all of them work well with the theme, sorry! You should try to find another plugin which has this functionality and see how it will work with the theme.

I tested a few this morning and found the News Letter Plugin by Web Lizar seems to integrate with the theme and have found no issues with it so far.
Well it worked for awhile and now it is no longer working either. Will update if i can find a plugin that will work.
Yes that would be great. I lost many visitors since the change to the TagDiv theme, which by the way is great.
What a lot of people do is setup something like the free version of mailchimp and then send peeps newsletters from that vs from your website.
Yeah looked into Mailchimp and I would exceed the Free number of emails allowed per month in one day.
Still looking though. Have tried a few but no luck so far.
