This is usually an issue with using crappy Jetpack Photon, in my own experience.

For ‘featured images’ WordPress will normally scale the image to fit the theme sizes but it has no “optimization” system in place to change the resolution of images. WordPress works based on pixel widths, not dpi; so it will generally always load a 72dpi/96dpi/ppi image. So, a 640×480 image is still a 640×480 image even if you start with a 1280×960 image and is reduced from the original to a new image file; it’s not loading the 1280×960 image, it’s loading the smaller copy which is 1/2 the resolution.

Might not be related to your issue. Just food for thought 🙂

Wordpress reduces the image quality for the web — not much you can do about that. A high res image that is 1MB would slow down the page, but look great. Ideally images should never be more than 100kb, and preferably no more than 50kb for page speed.

You can of course just re-upload your images from your backup, too.

Based on your image, it looks like the picture is being converted to a GIF or PNG from the original jpeg. If you’re using PNG files to begin with that might be the problem.

Might be your web server doesn’t have the right image processing modules installed. You should have ImageMagick running for best results.

I’ve never seen the issue you’re having with this theme after a year of using it, or with any WordPress site. No idea HOW you’re getting that to happen, frankly.

I suspect some oddity of your server, or a bad plugin, or the setting for compression is too high. Or, you’re using some kind of hosting platform that re-saves files and compresses them a second time — some web hosts do this, and you have to turn that off.

I would go back to the default WP theme and see if you can sort it out with only the twenty-fifteen theme running.

I was also not have any issue but from 3 4 days its happened to me!
Now i want a way out of this?

Post count: 9544

Well, if it started 3-4 days… likely a server issue, bad plugin, etc.

The theme cannot “suddenly” change your content without you knowing it.

Post count: 36

I didn’t install any plugin that may cause any problems please give a review on to my site and fix the issue i shall be very thankful to your because i am the only lover for newspaper i know who don’t want to change the template never ever!

Hi,

Sorry for the delay!
I have checked your site and noticed that most of the images added in your posts are loading just a thumb of the image and not the original image: http://screencast.com/t/rwTodrMFLM which based on the width and height image attributes is stretched and from there that blurry effect appears.
This could be caused by your recent WordPress update so I suggest you try to edit an image within a post and change its size: http://screencast.com/t/oB3B8nsASbB then check again and also try to regenerate thumbnail and empty cache files/purge files if you use CDN.
Please let me know!

Thanks
