bp_setup_current_user was called incorrectly

After a lot of search I couldn’t find a straight answer for this problem.

I’m getting the following error: bp_setup_current_user was called incorrectly $wp->init().

This is a problem with BUDSYPRESS and the THEME. Not BBPRESS (not installed)

I DISABLED ALL my plugins except BUDDYPRESS and the LOG show that problem. Then I changed to “Twenty Fourteen” theme and the problem was gone. This only points to a problem with the THEME. Can you guide me on how to fix this?!

Hello,

It seems that they added this message in the 1.7 version of buddypress and has appeared at random ever since.
We will look into this issue and until we can identify the problem or buddypress fixes it you can try to run with WP_DEBUG FALSE as the error is just a notification without affecting your website.
