Hi guys, is there a way of assigning custom categories, pages, post parents or tags, or just an “x” url, to create an on-demand breadcrumb navigation, where we can assign other pages as parents even if they are not their true parent?

Hi,
Maybe there is, but not by a theme provided setting. You could disable the theme breadcrumbs and try plugins or breadcrumb implementation that would allow more advanced functionality if required.
