Bug: [4.2] Responsive ad divs doesn't work on tablet tp and mobile

Hi

I was trying to add responsive ads to my site but the “tablet tp” and “mobile” div doesn’t seems to be working. You can see on my site on the Subscribe section (scroll down). I have created a custom subscription box and I’ve inserted its code on the divs. Example:

<div class="td-visible-desktop">
    subscription code
</div>
<div class="td-visible-tablet-l">
    subscription code
</div>
<div class="td-visible-tablet-tp">
    subscription code
</div>
<div class="td-visible-phone">
    subscription code
</div>

I am not sure why but the code doesn’t works in “td-visible-tablet-tp” and “td-visible-phone”. I’ve tried it with different codes but doesn’t work at all.

Notice: The code was same on all of them. I tried it from three different smartphones and tablets.

Please help. If you’re planning to fix in the next update, its not good for me. It is very urgent. So, can you please kindly provide the fix now?

Cheers!

Hi,

It’s not a bug, I have tested this and works fine using theme version 4.1 not 4.2 🙂
Please make sure you have added the ads well and also double check your code.
In case of Google ads the banners are made responsive by Google not by the theme, check your site and refresh the page to see that the banner it’s changes size depending on screen width.
Your site:

Also on mobile Google doesn’t allow ads to be placed first on page, and that’s the case for you.
Try to use an image to check this or try withe code from our documentation.
For more info you can follow this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/ads/

Thanks

Hi

First of all, can you please check it on V4.2? I can’t switch to the old version as I have a added lots of customisation to it.

Second, I have tried it with three different codes. I tried it with image first, then other code and then Google AdSens. None of them works.

Please check and let me know.

Thanks for the help.

Also, what do you mean by’Google doesn’t allow add to be placed on the first page, and that’s the case for your site’ — I have never heard of this before. Please explain.

Hi,

The themes latest version is 4.1 not 4.2, so like i said i have tested on themes latest version and found no issues.

Look at the demo, it’s using the latest version and the same div’s withe same classes http://screencast.com/t/heekiVyswuU It’s working fine there too.

When I say that on mobile Google doesn’t allow ads to be placed first on page causerie may cause inconvenience when scrolling on mobile, it;s a Google policy.

You may want to disable some plugins if you say the ads don’t work for you and see if it starts working.

Thanks

It works with images and AdSense. But, does it supports other PHP codes?

Hi,

Unfortunately the ads boxes doesn’t support php codes, you can add the php codes directly from templates if you like.

Thanks

Hi

I solved the problem by using @media queries. Thanks for the help 🙂

Also, is it possible to make the Review section make a little bit colorful in the next update? For example, if the review is 8+ the bar will be Green-ish and if its under 8, it would be Yellow and if its under 4, its gonna be Red?

Let me know, please.

Regards,
Mehedi
