My permalink structure is: /%category%/%postname%/%post_id%/.
When I enable Smart List for a post, it interprets the %post_id% in the URL as a pagination parameter.
So on page load, it loads the last ‘page’ (because post_id’s are high numbers) and when I click the Next or Previous button, the %post_id% gets cut off from the URL and the pagination parameter is inserted instead.

Yes, the smart lists are built that way so using post id in the permalink structure will conflict with theme;s smart lists. I’ve also tested this and got the same result.
I’ll add this on our todo list for further testing and see if we can find another implementation for it and avoid this.
You can use other permalink structure until we find a fix or another smart list type.
