Bugs in Newspaper 9.1

Hello, I have installed Newspaper 9.1 and found few bugs.
I use Tagdiv Composer and Mobile Plugin as well. For pages, the contents have to be recreated in the mobile editor. When I create a page using Tagdiv Composer and the same post is opened in the normal WordPress editor, the shortcodes used in the page are rendered and displayed as raw HTML. I don’t know why this is happening. This is giving me some layout problem. It ads extra p tags inside the HTML Subscription form (Inserted via a shortcode). It is mandatory for me to edit the post in the WordPress editor to update the mobile version. When doing so, the error mentioned above occurs. Kindly Fix it.

Also, This happens only when saved with the New version of Tagdiv Composer. The old pages saved with the old version, when opened in Default editor shows the Shortcodes. When the same is edited with New version and saved it renders the shortcode and are shown as HTML.

We had to roll back as it broke the layout of the site.

Hello Pradeep Augustine,

Unfortunately, I do not exactly understand what you mean, sorry! Please tell me what you’re doing step by step and provide some useful screenshots so I can identify the problem.

I have created a page using Tagdiv composer. In the page, I have used some shortcodes in text block as shown in the screenshot. (link: https://ibb.co/gCvLd0 )
Since I use the Mobile plugin, To add the contents in the mobile editor, I have opened the page in the default WordPress editor. All the shortcodes included are not shortcodes anymore. I have seen their HTML outputs in the editor. Check this Screenshot ( https://ibb.co/i7tTWL ).
When the save the page in the editor, the page no longer loads properly. The HTML outputs are having layout issues. Again when the page is opened in the tagdiv editor the result changes as shown in this screenshot ( https://ibb.co/kJgCQf ). There are no shortcodes in the tagdiv editor) This creates some layout issues in the newsletter subscription form that I insert using the shortcode. The expected result of the shortcode should resemble the following Screenshot ( https://ibb.co/huuMJ0 ). Kindly fix this issue as adding the content to the mobile editor is mandatory for me.

Hello Pradeep Augustine,

Indeed, it seems to be a bug in theme, sorry! We have added to our list of improvements and we hope to fix it in near future updates.

Thanks for your understanding!

Thank you for the reply. Please fix it ASAP. The Tagdiv composer element rows have the default bottom margin of 48px. The gap between the two elements is more. This was less in the older version. How to change the default margin settings? Please tell me the procedure to switch back to the older version. I don’t have the old version with me now. This latest version seems to be more buggy. Is there a time frame for the new update?

Thank You.

Hello Augustine,

That margin-bottom has not been changed in our latest version of the theme. It has always been this value. If you want an older version of the theme, you should request it at our contact@tagdiv.com. Specify there what kind of version do you want and we will provide it.

Thanks.
