We have a category of content that we created a custom category template for. However, there are single posts within that category that we want to apply a similar single post template. Is there a way to bulk assign posts to a single post template, or does it have to be done one at a time?

Hello!
The only one solution is to assign a specific post template to all posts from a category.
If you want to do this, then you need to set up in the theme panel a chosen category from here like in this screenshot: https://www.screencast.com/t/HJ5a8ns7gs

This only works if the category is set to primary? There is no way to override that?
