Hello,

I’m building my homepage. id like it to look similar to this > https://imgur.com/A68Yixw
could you please advise me on how best to recreate the highlighted section.

i would like three of my latest articles to appear in one section. i would like them to NOT have any thumbnails. i would like the initial paragraph or 30 words or so to display beneath them.

i like the 3 column layout with a bigger column in the middle . so 1/4 1/2 1/4 . im using the pagebuilder option to achieve this. you suggest not to use that layout of columns with newspaper 8.5. why is that?

if I edit the css of a block will i have to create a child theme so it doesn’t get deleted when i update?

thank you

Hello,

You can create a page in the tagdiv composer and split the row in 3: https://www.screencast.com/t/LJddKY1K

You can add content to the rows by using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
This guide should help with the settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
If you want a block without thumbs, try blocks 9 and 10.
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-9/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-10/

You do not need a child theme as you can use the tagdiv composer to add css to any block and page.

Thank you!

Hello,

thank you for the help. I have tried that, but i have a problem with the blocks. I want the list to appear vertically, instead it appears in two inside columns. as seen here;

Also, how do i show the first paragraph of the article in the block, like the first module in block 1 does?

Thank you for your help

Hi,

Blocks may not look properly when using those layouts. Those are mainly for multi-purpose elements. You could maybe stretch the row and create more space, either to a predefined value or full width

Experiment with different layouts and elements, there are many to choose from. More will be added in the coming updates.

Thanks
