I would like to use the ticker in TD Composer for updates that aren’t necessarily in posts.

Hi,
I don’t quite understand what you mean, some more details would be helpful. The news ticker has the same filtering and sorting as a block. So it can display the same content as a block.

Let’s say I wanted to put this in the ticker:
The website will be down on Thursday.
How would I do that?

Hi,
You cannot do that, the ticker will display posts not preferred texts. You could use a text element to display notices like that.
