Not sure how to do this, but on our homepage we have a block showing the latest 5 posts, BUT I would like to exclude one category.
That single category is for a site sponsor and we have a dedicated block and page to promote their content.

Yes, I looked there but I could not find my answer which is why I posted my question. It’s easy enough to select a single category, tag, multiples, etc. to display, but if I want to display all categories EXCEPT one, how do I do the “except one”?

The ajax filter only has an include option. it has no exclude functionality. You will have to add all of the needed categories. You cannot just remove one and show all the others. You need to add each category you want shown like so: https://www.screencast.com/t/vIvw4TVJ1O7

But would you consider that as a possible option?
Here’s why:
On the site I’m managing they have a lot of categories (as do many news sites).
They also have a MAJOR sponsor and they do a show on Sirius monthly that get’s added to the list of posts on the site.
The sponsor has their own block section, so we don’t want to have to show a new post from the sponsor in the first block (latest posts) when that same post appear in the sponsor block directly below.
Anyway, so I have a way to control this as per your suggestion, just not a very elegant solution. 🙂

It’s in your documentation, but I was confused. I added the particular category ID with a negative sign, “-7985” into the ‘multiple categories filter’ option of the Big Grid Slide, and it removed the posts in that category.

If you will use the negative ID category, it will not be displayed at your block, will be removed from that block and not from your website.

That’s what I want.
I want to remove the category from the very first block on the home page with the latest posts.
That ONE category is the next block on the home page and is content from a sponsor. We don’t need their “latest post” showing up in two places on the home page.
