I cannot select the elements below the empty column.
I checked the minimal settings, all is fine, and even deactivated the plugins…
Nothing seems to work and I can cont select anything after the empty column row.

Apologies, yes, I have not been very clear.
Basically, I can select the elements above the red line, but the elements below are not recognized and I cannot select them to modify them or even add another element below the red line.

The latest articles option and related posts come from WordPress not from Newspaper Theme. You can disable it from here as you can see: https://www.screencast.com/t/uzXRgXTiHlH You can disable that and replace it with a Flex block that has more editing options.
