Cannot deactivate Newsmag theme

I tried to update my Newsmag theme ver 2.3 but I cannot deactivate the previous version of the theme. What should I do?

Unfortunately, “Deactivate” option is not available, as you can see from the printscreen I sent you. What might cause this? I didn’t have this problem last time when I upgrade Newsmag to ver 2.3.

you might try renaming your plugins folder to force off all plugins; then login, then switch to default theme; then fresh update via FTP; switch plugin folder back to normal name, then turn back on Visual Composer, check all works.

And of course clear/disable your caching before doing anything like this.
